This volume, compiling together 16 papers, attempts to bring to the fore the importance of the linkages between educational reforms, government policies and emerging agro-technologies. This book is divided into two sections. Section I covers research articles of a wide variety such as education, government policies and agro-technologies. The articles here include actual research projects implemented in various districts in Maharashtra. These research findings throw light on technological injections and its impacts on production, productivity and employment capacity building. It also engages with the challenges that the agricultural sector encounters such as lack of appropriate infrastructure, insufficient energy resources, adverse consequences of the existing methodologies, inadequate (quantitatively and qualitatively) trained and skilled manpower along with gaps in gender parity and financial inclusion. Section II is composed of analytical reports written by researchers who have engaged with technology and education based on field visits and works in rural spaces. These reports include the use of drones, artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies along with the educational gaps to adapt these technologies in rural avenues.
